EatPilot ("we", "our", "the app") is a food recommendation app. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

Location data: Used only to find restaurants near you. We do not store your location history on our servers.
Food preferences: Diet, allergies, budget, and favorite cuisines you set during onboarding. Stored locally on your device.
Meal history: Which recommendations you accept. Stored locally on your device to improve future suggestions.
Feedback: Dislike actions on recommendations. Stored locally on your device.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email, or phone number.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not use advertising SDKs.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Places API to find restaurant information near your location. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing of location queries. We use Anthropic's Claude API to generate recommendations — no personally identifiable information is sent to this service.

Data Storage

All personal preferences and history are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and the app's Documents directory. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
